In this weeks lecture we talked about the sublime and how our world must evoke a sense of awe and mystery. We talked about the macro and micro and how we should add our last letters of our name and numbers of your student number into our terrain. This relates to my own work because i hadn't yet added the initial and number because for me my number was 1. I then changed it to the third last digit of my student number since the second last one is a 0 and we were advised to stay away from 1's and 0's.

The picturesque lecture:

In this weeks lecture we talked about "The grand tour" and went through a collection of pictures of Neoclassical architecture from the 1600's to the 1800's and then went on to talk about how romanticism followed neoclassicism. The picturesque came from the Romanticism period and one definition of it is the "Intermediary between the beautiful and sublime". this content relates to my own work by my work trying to encapsulate the sublimity of nature.
